Saturday 3rd June 2017
X Factor's Sam Lavery wowed the judges in series 13 with stunning renditions of ‘Impossible’ and ‘Hello’. Originating from Coxhoe, County Durham, she was a popular choice in the Girls category mentored by the one and only Simon Cowell, eventually finishing in seventh place. We hope Sam will enjoy traditional North East support in celebration of her achievements.
Everyone at Flamingo Land is very excited about welcoming 5 After Midnight and Sam Lavery to our first Party In The Park of 2017. But that’s not all… During the evening, you will also be able to enjoy a packed supporting programme, including Cardiff’s singing sensation and The Voice 2017 finalist, Jamie Miller, plus founding member of Hear’Say, Danny Foster. So, it’s sure to be a fantastic night for everyone involved!
1st July 2017
After being placed in the Boys category and mentored by Nicole Scherzinger, Matt eventually won the thirteenth UK series of The X Factor in 2016.
Following this success, Matt released his winner's single, ‘When Christmas Comes Around’, which peaked at number three in the UK Singles Chart. He has now signed a deal with RCA Records.
Scouting For Girls
29th July 2017
A succession of popular artists have thrilled our Party in the Park crowds, but perhaps the most iconic has been Scouting for Girls, who rocked Riverside One back in July 2016. We’ve been asking them back ever since, so we are delighted to announce they will be hitting the stage once again this July.
As one of the most popular British Pop-Rockers in recent years, Scouting for Girls has racked up an impressive list of achievements since 2005. A string of top-twenty singles including 'Heartbeat', 'Elvis ain't dead' and 'She's so lovely', plus their number one hit 'This ain't a love song', have been supported by four Brit Awards nominations and an MTV Europe Music Award nomination for best new act.
Scouting for Girls has also enjoyed four successful albums, including their 2008 chart-topper, the self-titled Scouting for Girls. So, it is little wonder they are still incredibly popular across the UK and Europe.
Admission to Party In The Park is free for visitors attending during the day, Season Pass holders and Holiday Village guests. For anyone who would just like to join us for one hour of theme park and zoo fun, followed by an evening of sensational live entertainment, Special Event Tickets are now available online, allowing entry from 5:00pm for only £10.
Eat, Drink & Enjoy
With its spectacular illuminated waterfall and all-weather stage, our Riverside One entertainment arena also features a choice of great bars, restaurants and alfresco eateries. So, make the most of your Party in the Park experience with a delicious meal, ice-cold beer or a selection of mouth-watering snacks.
