With a formidable reputation as the "Queen of the British Clubs", Hazell scored a succession of massive club and dance hits which crossed successfully into the mainstream charts.
Beginning her career in the 70’s and achieving huge popularity in the Northern Soul Scene, she was excluded from mainstream recognition until February 1984 when she released a double A-side Evergreen / Jealous Love. Two months later she sailed back into the charts at number six with Searchin (I Gotta Find A Man), which remained in the top 75 for 15 weeks.
As one of the first artists to work with Stock, Aitken and Waterman, her recording of What Ever I Do (Wherever I Go) provided their first all-important Top 10 hit. This was followed by a sting of successes including Back In My Arms, Who's Leaving Who, Maybe and Turn It Into Love.
Subsequently, Hazell achieved worldwide fame, having chart hits across Europe, South Africa, Australia and the Far East. Since 1991 she’s been concentrated her energies on production and song writing with credits including Bad Boys Inc and Upside Down.
