Educational Visits

Did you know Flamingo Land delivers educational sessions to schools and uniformed groups?

All our workshops link to the UK National Curriculum and we have lesson plans for each workshop which are available for teachers on request. We use real and facsimile artefacts in all our sessions. There are over 140 different species of animals at Flamingo Land and we aim to see a range of these on our tours.

We normally collect schools between 10.00 – 10.30 and bring them to our classroom where they can drop their bags and go to the toilet if needed. We generally offer one workshop and one tour per class.

If there is a large group, above 35 students, we advise that they are split into smaller groups. Once the workshops have ended or if you are waiting for the workshop to begin you are more than welcome to walk around the Zoo and Children’s Planet. You are also more than welcome to watch the bird or sea lion shows providing that your group enters and settles before the show begins.

We are a ‘Learning Outside The Classroom’ badge holder. We have risk assessments for general visits to the zoo and theme park as well as for animal handling that we can send to teachers via email. We also offer a pre-visit for two teachers per booked class to enable them to conduct their own risk assessment or speak to our staff.

Prices are from only £7.50 per student, inclusive of educational activities *
