Description

As the Electrical Rides Engineer you will install, maintain and repair Flamingo Lands rides and attractions.
Answering directly to your department manager your job role requirements/responsibilities will include:
Excellent communication skills with all departmental team members

Work as part of a strong/established/multi skilled team
Component sourcing & requisition (best price & delivery)
Carry out lock off procedures
Adopt safe systems of work
Carry out rides & attractions fault finding / diagnosis
Carry out rides & attractions electrical checks and inspections
Carry out rides & attractions electrical repairs and maintenance
Faults reporting
Replacing pneumatic/hydraulic components
Replacing pressure sensors/prox sensors/switches
Mounting/fitting photo limit sensors/switches
Slip rings/conductor rails/brush gear maintenance
Keeping accurate engineering records/logs
Replacing general electrical components (like for like)
Maintaining electrical systems and components
Replacing mechanical components as necessary
Good working knowledge of PLC, Drives and Relay Control systems
Good working knowledge of AC, DC motors & drives
Good working knowledge & respect of system & supply voltages, currents & resistance
Following manufacturer’s maintenance schedules
Following risk assessments and method statements
Understanding/following wiring diagrams
Control panel wiring
Maintaining a high level of cleanliness
Maintaining a high level of safety to yourself and others around you
