What do I need before I start?

Before you can work, we must complete a Right to Work check. You’ll need:

• Your National Insurance number
  
• Your Birth Certificate or Passport
  
• A bank or building society account (for weekly pay)
  

What are the first few days like?

Starting a new job can feel scary – we make it easy!

• You’ll be told where you will be working, what to wear and what to bring
  
• We’ll help you complete your contract
  
• You’ll learn about Flamingo Land and meet other Team Members
  
• Induction is fun, interactive and supportive
  

Training

• Induction usually lasts 2 days
  
• Day 3 you’ll start working with your department
  
• Training is step-by-step – you don’t need to learn everything at once
  
• Safety always comes first, especially on rides and in catering
  
• Training continues as you grow in confidence
  

Working hours, days off & holidays

We understand you still have important commitments.

• Exam results days and college taster days will be given off
  
• You’ll get your rota in advance
  
• You’ll have correct breaks and days off
  
• You won’t work late evenings
  

Because we’re busiest during weekends and school holidays, we ask Seasonal Team Members to be available during these times.
If you have a family holiday booked, just let us know early.

What happens when I start college?

When college starts in September, your availability may change.

Many Team Members:

• Work weekends
  
• Pick up extra shifts during Halloween and Christmas
  
• Return year after year through college and university
  

Some even go on to:

• Get promoted
• Move into other departments
  
• Gain apprenticeships
  
• Secure permanent roles

• Interviews begin February

• Face-to-face interview (around 30 minutes)
  
• Successful candidates attend 2 fun induction days
  
• Induction for this role will be Tuesday 30 June & Wednesday 1 July – (You must be free to attend both days).
• Roles start in early July and run through the season
